Mission Statement

The Indiana Tax Practitioners Association, Inc. (ITPA) was incorporated in 1985 from an unincorporated association that had been in existence since 1948.  It was created to serve Indiana’s professional tax practitioners by providing them information gained through periodic publications and seminars.  With the assistance of ITPA, these professionals remain current with revisions of the IRS and Indiana’s Department of Revenue, their rules, regulations and statutory changes.

The Association promotes and accomplishes its goals by, among other things, sponsoring one or more annual seminars for Indiana tax practitioners; retaining the service of qualified speakers to speak at its seminars; providing and mailing printed materials and qualifying its seminars for continuing professional and legal education credit with the Indiana State Board of Accountancy and the Indiana Commission for Continuing Legal Education.
