Chuck Barrington retired from the Internal Revenue Service in September 2011 following a career that began in 1971. He has held positions with IRS as a Revenue Officer, Tax Auditor, and almost 15 years as a Collection Group Manager working in all of the IRS posts of duty in northern Indiana. For the last ten years of his career, he served as a Senior Stakeholder Liaison with the Small Business/Self-Employed Division, working with Indiana’s small business and tax professional organizations to provide updates on law and procedures. Since retiring he has been an instructor with the Purdue Tax Schools. Chuck left IRS in 1975 to enter the ministry and returned in 1983. During that interim, he owned and operated the Barrington Tax Service in South Bend. He is a native Hoosier with a bachelor’s degree from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas.

Michele Newman, EA, received her Bachelor’s degree in both Chemical Engineering and Chemistry from West Virginaia Institue of Technolgy after receiving her Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. She is an entreprenuer and has owed and operated her own tax practice in Indianapolis, IN for 15 years. Her areas of expertise include individual and corporate taxation, tax issue resolution, accounting for profit and not-for-profit organizations including Form 990 preparation. She teaches her own 30-hour Basic Income Tax Course and is currently an instructor for Purdue University’s Income Tax School.

Linda Yoder is an enrolled agent (EA) and a certified financial planner (CFP). She worked for the IRS as a revenue agent from 1986 to 1998. She opened her tax practice in Mechanicsburg, IN, in 1999. Linda has an AA in accounting from IVY Tech and a BA in English from New Mexico State University. In addition to her tax practice, she also writes for the Land Grant University Tax Education Foundation (LGUTEF) National Income Tax Workbook and teaches at several tax seminars each year.

Stephen C. Haworth, CPA is a Christian and a Boilermaker. He is president and founder of Stephen C. Haworth, P.C.; offering accounting and tax services in Columbus, Indiana with five full time employees and three seasonal employees. Steve was previously employed by the Internal Revenue Service and was an examination group manager when he left. He is active with the Indiana Society of Accountants and the National Society of Accountants, serving his 4th year as chair of the regulation oversight committee. He serves as a director for the Indiana Tax Practitioner’s Association and is a member of NATP and ICPA. He was previously a speaker with Jennings Seminars and is in his 4th year of co instructing the Indiana University Tax Practitioner Tax Institutes.  He is a chapter editor for the University of Illinois Federal Tax Workbooks.
